I met Kara and Thomas at my friend Christina's wedding and we hit it off. I found out they were getting married in 2011 and fortunately they chose me to be their photographer. As part of their package they chose to include an engagement portrait session, which is a nice way to work together before the wedding and gives them some nice photos to use for announcements and to display at the wedding.
They chose to have the session at the McClean Game Refuge in Connecticut. I met Kara & Thomas there on what turned out to be a perfect autumn day, along with their dog Harper who joined in many of the photos. It is both challenging and fun to work with companion animals, and the results in this case were quite wonderful. The changing colors of the leaves, the beautiful reflections on Trout Pond, the trails through the woods and a couple who were comfortable getting photographed amidst all the splendor.
Thanks Kara & Thomas, I am looking forward to the wedding!
