The photos that got me to Burning Man
As many of you know, I have been raising money to get to Burning Man through a GoFundMe fundraiser, exchanging my talents for donations. Along with web design, ukulele lessons, yoga lessons, and the selling of prints, I have also been offering a discount on my photo shoots. Lots of sweet and wonderful yogis have come out of the woodwork to help out. While I am still hoping for a few more last minute helpers, I want to honor those who have already donated and been photographed with this little thank you gallery!
For anyone going to Burning Man or to Bhakti Fest in Joshua Tree the following weekend, please hit me up and we can take some photos on the west coast. I will be doing lots of free sessions out there to pay back my karma for all the amazing support I have received to get there!
I am posting photos from 4 photo sessions, all with Jivamukti Yoga teachers. In 3 of the 4 sessions I took photos of the yogis in Matsyasana (fish pose). Do I love mermaids? Is my moon in Pisces? I am not sure, but I like the results.
Jivamukti Yoga certified teacher Moritz Ulrich from Berlin contacted me a while back wanting to take photos while he was visiting the USA. It turns out he is opening a new yoga school in Berlin (Germany) called Peace Yoga Berlin. He and his partner Nicholas and my good friend and Jivamukti Yoga teacher Christine Furler all did a session together in Woodstock, NY. Here are a couple of the highlight photos.
A special thanks to April Dechagas, who not only donated generously to my cause, but is also subbing my Wednesday night yoga classes at Brooklyn Yoga Collective while I am gone!
There are lots more great photos from each of these sessions, I hope you will take some time to check them out! Please leave comments below, and if you need photos, yoga, ukulele, web design, or anything else (a hug?) and would like to help me get to Burning Man and the Bhakti Fest so I can take lots more great photos, please check out my GoFundMe page.
